About District Sport League

District Sport League (Pty) Ltd (DSL) is a women-led, impact-driven company specializing in corporate team building, communication development, wellness initiatives, and sport-based training programmes.

We exist to help individuals and organisations grow stronger through experiential learning, using sport and team-based methodologies to unlock better communication, collaboration, and performance. At the same time, we are deeply committed to female athlete empowerment, particularly within the South African netball ecosystem.

The District Sport League (Pty) Ltd (DSL) was established to present top tier sporting talent with the opportunity to pursue their aspirations at elite level in an environment that caters for appropriate support in the form of continued education and select opportunities for gainful employment.

Founder and visionary, Dr Freda Kemp, developed this multi-layered initiative following her successful work with the District Netball League (DNL). DNL, was introduced several years ago to nurture and professionalise netball at both grassroots and elite level.
following initiatives are offered under the auspices of DSL:

• Netball League (DNL), a tournament hosted once a year to ensure exposure and continued support to elite level players, incorporating elements of female empowerment, tertiary level education and where possible, pathways to employment.
• FAST 3, a high-energy, commercially driven format of the game hosted at participating malls to connect netball enthusiasts, elite athletes, and their supporters at national activations and tournaments. In 2026, the following malls will be hosting the FAST3 tournament: Tyger Valley, Menlym, Mimosa, Cresta and Pavillion.
• GoalGetters, an early childhood development initiative offered in collaboration with Netball Goal Getters Outreach Programme, to instill a love for netball at grassroots level and to improve critical coordination capabilities in the formative years. DSL Brand Ambassadors, Entle Futshane and Amber Coraizin assists with the roll out of this initiative at participating early learning centers.

The initiatives offered by the District Sports League are generously supported by GEA (Pty) Ltd, Stadio, FNB and 3 Cube Management Solutions.
